Security Best Practices
🔒 Limited Scope Access
Only grant access to areas needed for the specific support task. Start with minimal permissions and expand if needed.
📧 Email Notifications
Bluehost will send you email notifications when:
- User access is granted
- A user logs into your account
- Changes are made to your hosting
- Access is revoked
🕐 Temporary Access
User access should be temporary. Set expiration dates when possible or remove access once work is completed.
👀 Monitor Activity
Check your Account Activity or Access Logs regularly to see what actions users have performed.
🔐 Two-Factor Authentication
Keep 2FA enabled on your main account. Delegate users work independently of your 2FA settings.

Delegate users cannot access your account through the Bluehost mobile app. All work will be done through the web interface.
💾 Backup First
Always ensure you have recent backups before granting access, especially for database or file management permissions.

We’ll always confirm access is working before making any changes to your hosting environment.
